SIMPAC® Theater Suite

Increase your simulation development productivity

Enhance your simulation system

The Theater Suite provides an environment for establishing mission plans for space based, air, land, surface and subsurface vehicles.

Any of the vehicles can be used as Targets, Threats, Allies or Unknowns. A theater can consist of one or more vehicles of any type, as well as a combination of types and number of vehicles.

Theater Suite

The Theater Suite provides an environment for establishing mission plans for space based, air, land, surface and subsurface vehicles. Any of the vehicles can be used as Targets, Threats, Allies or Unknowns. A theater can consist of one or more vehicles of any type, as well as a combination of types and number of vehicles.

Applications include: Part-Task Trainers; Human Engineering; Crew Workload Studies; Sensor Integration; Mission Effectiveness Research; Mission Rehearsal.

Planner

The Planner module is responsible for allowing an operator to define and design vehicle characteristics (e.g., turning radius, climb/dive rates, and passive/aggressive). Characteristics can be specified for onboard sensor capabilities and off-board sensor detection signatures.

The Planner module is responsible for allowing an operator to define mission routes. Routes can either be defined to be based on an absolute coordinate system (based on physical latitude and longitude of a waypoint) or a relative coordinate system (based on an initial 0 latitude and longitude which is determined later).

Player

The Player module computes the dynamic vehicle position and fills the SIMPAC global data base with vehicle entity information that can be used by sensor modules or the DIS / HLA Suite of modules.

Observer

The Observer module graphically displays the position of Theater entities. It supports the same graphical input data format as the Out-The-Window Suite modules use (i.e., ViewTRI, CIB, Terrain data .

The user can manually "fly" through the theater and adjust the eye point as desired to observe the area of interest.
